Personal information held by ALBA is provided directly to ALBA through our exchange of correspondence under our business activities with you, Contact Us form on our website or from meetings, seminars, conferences, events, exhibitions attended by ALBA.
Personal information recorded in our database system refers to Employees, Clients, Consultants, Business Contacts, Marine Service Providers, Job Applicants and Suppliers. The type of information recorded refers to:
- Name, company, position and corresponding email, telephone number(s) and address
- Details provided through Contact Us form available on our website
- Other information provided within legitimate business activities
and is used either:
- To provide our services as Marine Claims Handlers, Average Adjusters, Collecting Agents or Consultants
- To respond to enquiries received through Contact Us form
- To manage internal work operations for legitimate interest
- To inform you of any changes to ALBA’s contact details
- To Invite you to occasional events or business parties hosted by ALBA
- To send our Festive Wishes
5. Providing Information to us
In cases where you have provided us with sensitive personal information (such as proof of identification) we will delete same from our records soon after having received and utilised the data and advise you in writing that we have done so.
You should not provide us with personal information about a third person if you do not have their full permission to do so. We accept information about a third person on the understanding that the third person is aware what information is provided to us, what it will be used for and ultimately that you have their full permission to disclose same to us.
6. Duration information is kept
Personal information is kept for as long as necessary for the purpose it was recorded, in accordance with internal procedures, regulations, audit requirements and any legal obligations under time limits.
Personal information which is no longer necessary for the purpose it was recorded is securely destroyed / deleted in compliance with internal procedures.

ALBA does not share your personal information outside the responsibility of our business activities nor do we sell, trade or exchange your data. We will disclose personal information if we are legally obliged to do so.
8. Managing your information
To enquire as to whether we hold any of your personal details, to check whether we hold your updated contact details or ask us to remove you from our database system, please send an email with your enquiry to admin@alba.com.cy.
